FIGURE MODELING
Study the anatomy and gesture of a live model in a variety of poses. Practice short studies to explore themes of abstraction and interpretation. Using a wire armature, form the figure, then create a sculpture using Klean Klay (a form of plasticine). We have the same model for two weeks in the same pose.THE BUST
In this class students will study the human head. Working from a model, create a life size bust. Study proportion and volume.
Explore various techniques in texture and form. Work in non-firing clay and plaster. Students will learn rudimentary casting and will
produce a plaster cast from a waste mold.
